I turned up at this establishment - having booked through Booking.com - with my wife, 4 year old daughter and dog, and was refused admission, ostensibly because of the dog. This despite their Booking.com listing stating quite clearly that pets were allowed (at a 6 euro surcharge). On booking, I had stated quite clearly that we would be bringing a dog and requiring an extra bed for our child. No objection was made to the dog at this point, neither any mention of a ten euro surcharge for the extra bed. On arrival, the receptionist showed me the room - it was awful - it looked like it had been painted by toddlers and and had a shower actually in the room, sectioned off by a skanky old curtain. On mentioning my dog, he then informed me that they didn't normally allow dogs, but sometimes did if the guest called in advance and made a special arrangement (I went back and double checked the email they had sent me on booking and it made no mention of this) and that we couldn't stay. When I protested, he first backed down and said he supposed a small dog would be OK, then, on seeing my dog, decided she didn't meet his own arbitrary definition of acceptable smallness and turned us away. He then, get this, had the audacity to report us to Booking.com as a No Show and charged a 20 euro cancellation fee to my card. I am still awaiting Booking.com's response to this situation. Truly dreadful and objectionable.
