Am here now. Friendly reception, very pleasant looking hotel, decor is minimalist and looks great, a bit too minimalist for living though, paid extra for balcony and amazed to find there were two chairs but no table. We were told there was no room for a table though similar sized balconies opposite had a reasonably sized circular table. A much smaller table would have been great. My biggest bugbear though is absolutely nothing, no bedside table or even shelf by my side of the bed. Where do I put my drink or book? Did the designer try living here for a couple of days. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced this even in hostels. I think we paid for the second most expensive room, from the photo it looks like you have to go top notch to have somewhere to place your book or kindle next to your bed. Pity as there are many positives.

This hotel seems to be set up for short stay and not for a family holiday, after reading about all the facilities available on hotel.com we believed this hotel would be ideal, just one problem they don`t exist. It says 2 pools but it`s one with a retractable roof which is a tad bigger than my bath, it states a maximum capacity of 17 , you felt over familiar when half a dozen were in at once, on the hotel booking sites there's a lovely picture of 2 cocktails on the side of this miniscule pool i'm perplexed, to get these you will have to go down 2 flights of stairs to the lift , down 5 floors out of the hotel on the street across the road to the nearest bar then return hopefully without spilling them,now for a little list of what we thought were available but aren`t. Snack Bar no, Bar no ,Cafe no, coffee shop no, Games well if you call the chess board in reception then technically yes, but get there early theres only one. It states rooms are soundproof ,i`m partially deaf but could hear everything from next door. Aircon now i thought this was excellent ,the room was lovely and cool to sleep but then i realised the hotel could turn it off and on so not so great after all, also don't bother putting the do not disturb sign on your door it doesn't make a blind bit of difference they still come in when they want, Some reviews say how good the breakfast is , how so , if the exact same thing for 10 days with no variety is good then well yes it is good.Now you might think i`m a miserable so and so not true. we still had a lovely holiday despite of the hotels shortcomings, oh and I nearly forgot our booking promised a free bottle of wine asked twice at reception for it and yes you guessed it, no wine. Will I come back to salou 100% yes Will I come back to the num hotel 100% not

Very comfortable, top-notch bedding. A bit noisy outside and a view of the buildings directly opposite. Very friendly welcome, big plus for the lovely rooftop pool, you can see the sea from there. Top-notch breakfast. I recommend it!
