Gold River

Stayed for 2 nights with my 16 year old son as a post GCSE mini break. We flew into Reus and the bus brought us to reception which was about 3 euros each. Our room was ready and we then headed into the park. Really convenient walking straight into the Wild West area. We spent all our time in the park and one evening in Ferrari land. We also had a swim in the pool. The hotel suited us really well as we only came to experience the rides and shows. Breakfast buffet was fine and we found the staff friendly and helpful. Rather than go back to the buffet in the evening, we chose to eat dinner in the parks, and our half board plan gave us 23 euros each off the bill. We also found we could refill our water bottles at the fountains. Taxi back to the airport was 27 euros. All really easy and we had a great time. This hotel is ideal for those wanting to focus on the theme park.

Still here and disappointed with the place. This is Spain trying to be Disney but it’s all wrong. Service is poor, staff with bad attitudes (had two arguments already) and overall just lacking facilities to cater for the number of people. So annoyed with myself for booking here. It’s no way a 4 star resort. It’s miles from anywhere due to the large estate it sits on. A taxi to Salou is €15 each way. No restaurants, just outside snack bars, with large cues. Thank god I’ve come now and not in 3-4 weeks time at its peak. Bar in the main city hall is under staff, just served us cold toastes, no apologies no nothing. Breakfast is a buffet and it’s like feeding time at the zoo, people running and rushing everywhere no order, understaffed again. Have another 2 nights in the hole and I’m so annoyed I’ve had to put this on now. Avoid !!!!

Excessive prices on-site, noisy neighbors, door leading from one room to another (impossible to sleep)... despite numerous requests.
