Very good hotel in great location a few mins walk from beach and town centre.. Very clean and nice rooms. The roof top bar with pool gives amazing views. Good choice of food. Service at dinner could be improved if queuing time for hot food was sorted as everybody queues at carvery area as no separate hot food . Games room.for kids and separate kids pool. Will go back again

We recently stayed at Hotel Las Vegas in Salou, and while there are some positives, there were also quite a few disappointments.
The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, and that's probably its biggest strength. The staff are friendly, helpful and work hard. The location is excellent too – it's very central, just a short walk from the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The drinks and food served around the pool are also very reasonably priced.
Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives for us. The rooms are small, very basic and have limited wardrobe and drawer space. Our room overlooked the neighbouring hotel's pool, which was incredibly noisy throughout the day and evening. The walls are paper thin, meaning you can hear conversations, toilets flushing, showers running and doors closing. It certainly wasn't the peaceful stay we were hoping for.
The main pool suffers from the usual sunbed rush, with people reserving beds early in the morning. To the hotel's credit, the lifeguard does remove towels after around 30 minutes if nobody returns, which is better than many places. However, there are very few parasols, and much of the main pool area is in the shade for most of the day. The rooftop pool is quieter and there were always sunbeds available, but the pool itself was disappointing. The water often had an oily film on the surface, presumably from sun cream, and the paint around the edge of the pool was flaking off onto people's swimwear.
The biggest disappointment by far was the food in the main restaurant. It was genuinely some of the worst hotel food we've ever experienced. We travelled as a group of ten, and every single one of us agreed. I struggle to understand reviews describing the food as good. People in some of the reviews often say, "You can always find something to eat," but that's not what I expect from a holiday. I don't want to spend every meal trying to piece together random items from the buffet just to make something edible.
Breakfast was especially poor. While there was fruit and cereal available, the cooked breakfast was awful. The sausages were hot dogs, the streaky bacon was undercooked, and the coffee was unpleasant and they served chips. Dinner didn't begin until 7:30 pm, which meant large numbers of guests were waiting for the restaurant to open. As a result, there were massive queues at both dinner and breakfast (when guests arrive after 9am) and you could spend a long time waiting to be served, only to find the food wasn't worth the wait. I looked at the dinner buffet every evening but only ate there twice because nothing appealed. The main dishes were mostly repetitive, consisting of odd, overcooked stews, bland casseroles and unappealing meat dishes that often looked like they had been sitting out for too long. I swapped dinner for lunch twice, which is the maximum allowed, but lunch was virtually identical to dinner, so it made very little difference.
Overall, the hotel is clean, in a fantastic location and has genuinely friendly staff. However, the basic rooms, lack of soundproofing, disappointing pool facilities and, above all, the incredibly poor-quality food mean I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

WiFi down for guests all week.smile at one of the staff for the hotel staff passcodes though you have to sign in every shift!
Evening mealtimes opens at 19.30 start queuing at 19.00 approx 30mtres long and then a 15min queue to get food otherwise you'll have to queue on the stairs down for at least 30min a 2 out 2 in system, any of your party a bit late will still have to wait on the stairs even if you've got a seat for them! All drinks with evening meal to be paid for including water. Own drinks not allowed as they take the glasses away.
Same for sunbeds if you don't get one early then join the queue on the terrace until someone leaves could be hours at the main pool as this is the only one for kids as the other 2 smaller ones are adult only and yes there is only 3 !
Kettle for your room 12 euros + 20 deposit + 2 cups coffee super creamer OR WATER not supplied get your own.
Luggage or shown where your room is ,sorry but we'll show you where the lift is!
1st time for 15yrs since I've been back to Spain if this is now the standard of the hotels it's the last 4* I've stayed in better 2* in younger days.
