Magnolia Hotel

​We had an excellent memory of this establishment where we stayed with great pleasure during our vacations in 2016 and 2017. It is therefore with confidence and enthusiasm that we returned in June 2026. Unfortunately, the assessment is clear: aside from the friendliness of the staff, the breakfast, the size of the shower and the room, the services have significantly declined and no longer justify the 4-star Superior classification. Here are some concrete examples from our stay in room 403: Poor soundproofing: Despite the completely closed double-glazed windows, the room was very poorly soundproofed, disturbing our sleep. Odor problems: A persistent and very unpleasant sewage smell constantly emanated from the toilet and the bathroom. Connectivity: In this day and age, offering such a slow and unstable Internet connection is unacceptable for an establishment of this standing. What a shame to see such a beautiful hotel lose its quality standards. In its current state, the value for money is no longer there at all. We hope that management will react quickly to restore this place to the standard it deserves, but for our part, we will not return.

Great hotel. Room is lovely, shower is massive (although slightly moldy around shower head and in corners) and room was cleaned well when we needed it. There was an issue where housekeeping left on our shower after they cleaned while we were out for 12 hours at portaventura and we came back to wet walls, condensation everywhere and the room as hot as a sauna. Manager was apologetic, he apologised for the issue and mentioned he raised issue with housekeeping, provided us with more towels but no compensation for a soaked room. Poolbar staff weren't the most friendly, but drinks were nice. We were asked to move when we had our own drinks by the pool at 11:30pm on a tuesday night, while we were the only ones there. We only got the drinks because bar was closed the previous two nights when we wanted to get a drink. Pool was a bit dirty with dead bugs and some scum, and tiles around outside of pool uneven on one side and tripped more than once. Overall, would stay again. The positives outweigh the negatives

Our room was immaculately clean, modern and spacious. We stayed in the king room with a balcony and couldnt have been more impressed with it. We didn’t choose to include breakfast so unable to comment on that, but the refreshments available at the pool bar were good, including alcoholic drinks and snacks at a reasonable price. The pool area was nice also, with sunbeds always available, in the shade or the sun. Staff were polite however we were disturbed on our final day by a maintaince worker that walked into our room, didn’t speak a word of English so I couldn’t understand what he wanted, and then walked out shortly after looking inside the shower for an unknown reason. Also a massive shoutout to the housekeeping team, who cleaned our room on a daily basis and always greeted us with a smile. The location is amazing, right next to the beach and bus station, and within a short walk to the nightlife and beachfront restaurants. As for things that could’ve been improved - our balcony door was extremely difficult to open, with the door handle hanging off, the decking around the pool area is extremely uneven and scolding hot, the pool was also not as clean as expected, with dead flies in, and the pool bar isn’t staffed constantly throughout the day, so you are waiting for service as there is no bell or phone number to make the staff aware of yourself. All in all, the postives outway the negatives, and I would stay here again! Excuse the photos, they are screenshots from a video I took!
