Villa Engracia Hotel

Visit of colonies with 2oESO students. Very suitable apartment for them and very good service from the staff. Very varied meals. Very correct cleaning service. And all this in the middle of nature with walking access to the Monestir de Poblet i a L’Espluga de Francolí for excursions and visits.

Weekend at the beginning of June; Very nice and very quiet environment (even though the hotel was quite full). We were in one of the 2-bedroom apartments. The truth is that they are very well equipped... they are not big but for a few days they are very good. THEY ARE NOT SUITABLE AT ALL FOR PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY! Impossible to access them. We miss the lack of staff in general; a young man (very attentive) taking care of everything, reception, waiter, bar, etc. (hopefully not the kitchen too 😉). We tried to have dinner the 1st night at the hotel and they told us that it was full.... it did not seem right to us, since, as guests of the hotel, we had every right to be counted on our presence at dinner time. In general the stay was good (just). A little expensive overall for what it is.

The two-person apartment was a matchbox; If someone is accompanied to one of those, be careful not to bump into the other person: it is a very small space: the kitchen looks like a toy and is short of accessories; The bathtub is almost as big as the entire sink, and the space that acts as a bedroom and living room is claustrophobic: wow, just enough to sleep and watch a little TV. Bad price-quality ratio, although we paid an extra fee to have the fireplace (and they also charged us 12 euros extra for the firewood). However, the worst was when the cleaning workers woke us up on the day of departure, as they started cleaning the apartments upstairs and the one next door at 8 in the morning! The noise was unbearable, constant and varied: from moving armchairs to slamming doors and moving tables... It was a total lack of consideration for the guests.
