Torre del Conde

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel, the location is very convenient as it is located a stone's throw from the port of San Sebastián and in the middle of the small historic center. We had chosen the half-board option, the buffet was small but well-kept both at breakfast and dinner, few things but of quality. As for the rooms, however, we had a nice view of the park with a small balcony, the beds were single and prepared as two single beds even though we were a couple but, when we booked, we saw that there was no double bed option. The bathroom had a large shower with a single shampoo and body wash that was the same one you found next to the sink to wash your hands. Honestly, sleeping was not easy, the air conditioning made a loud noise even though it was at minimum power and from under the door, since there was a gap of at least 2/3 cm, the light from the hallway entered, which never turned off even during the night. It is also true that our room was in a hallway without windows and therefore I understand that the light was necessary, but adopting an automatic on and off system would favor a much more peaceful sleep.

I came to work, comfortable room, with a desk and work lamp. The air conditioning did NOT work, so if you get hot easily, this is not the place for you. At checkout (day 7-18-26) I checked out half an hour before 11 and made an innocuous comment with no intention other than to strike up a conversation with the receptionist, saying "I am leaving earlier than planned," and her response was very unpleasant and out of place, curt and dry, saying "well, only half an hour early." I ignored the comment and requested my invoice so that the company would reimburse my expenses, to which she replied, "no, you booked through an agency so no," somehow making me feel bad for booking through a platform where they themselves offer their services and benefit. Very unpleasant treatment. For my future work trips, I will choose other places.

Centrally located hotel. My room and bathroom were both of very good size. Rooms seem to vary but the top floor rooms have a nice large balcony, which I enjoyed. The street outside is pedestrian only so no traffic noise but there might be some noise from pedestrians if they are loud. Overall, a clean, well located option.
