Arona Gran Hotel

The hotel is pretty and quiet. That is where it ends without the decor you would rate this 2 star! They don’t take your luggage to your room, staff are quite ‘miserable’ rarely speak and just look at you. That is the same for reception. You’re an inconvenience. I’ve never stayed at a 4 star where they don’t take your luggage to your room, and a free safe!!! It’s appalling they charge for that. Then the sunbeds, everyone gets up and reserves them, the time has moved on with adult only hotels and you can book them! Not here! If you can’t get a sunbed, tough. Surely there should be plenty for the hotel? Why not offer a number service? However if you want to get up early you can put your towels out to secure a bed, but have to be back between 9-10 to keep them. Which is something the pool staff are hot on and will remove towels. They also do maintenance ALL day, very noisy. Whilst appreciate work needs doing. Noisy work should stop at 1pm to allow you to rest in the afternoon. They don’t seem to care about the customers anymore

This could be a great hotel if only the management would address the sun bed issue. The food is great, entertainment exceptional. But unless you are prepared to join the 6.30am scramble to get your towel on a sun bed, you will often struggle to find two sun beds together. Throughout the day 100% of sun beds are occupied by towels but no more than 25% by people! Staff are aware of the problem but are reluctant to act. Such a shame, as otherwise, this hotel would score highly.

Wow where do I start what amazing hotel ,from start to finish, The rooms are amazing we were on the 5th floor so spacious and spotless. We were on the up lounge all week (worth every penny) the views are spectacular the food and drink are 5 star would recommend. First time at this hotel won't be the last .
