Laguna Nivaria

Lagoon is always surprising. Good atmosphere in the heart of the heritage city of La Laguna. Any excuse is good to enjoy breakfast, snacks, coffee with friends, brunch. Excellent quality price and service is unbeatable.

My stay at this hotel was simply wonderful. From the First, everything was taken care of in detail. The room, spacious and beautiful, had all the necessary amenities, plus a lovely welcome detail with cava and chocolates that made the Even more special arrival. The reception staff was exceptionally friendly, always willing to help with a smile. On the other hand, the cafeteria and restaurant stood out for their great professionalism, attention and closeness, offering a truly unbeatable deal. Breakfast was another of the strengths: complete, varied and great quality, without missing anything. It has certainly been an experience to repeat and recommend. I'll be happy again!

My friend and I stayed here for six nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, booked into two adjoining Superior rooms with an interconnecting door. This arrangement of the rooms was important for us and on arrival was exactly as we'd requested in advance. Our rooms were quiet, spacious and well laid-out, had supremely comfortable beds and a bathroom complete with a whirlpool bath, bathrobe and slippers. Foodwise, the buffet-style breakfast offered a good range of options, while we found the (half-board) dinner menu limited in that respect, though on asking the staff we were able to mix and match menu items to satisfy our needs without any trouble. Inside, the hotel's public areas offered a welcoming environment, with seating areas on landings and a lovely, airy indoor coffee and meals area as well as a bar. Some comments here have suggested that the hotel accommodation appeared "tired", but I would disagree, as I feel upgrading might only reduce the charm and comfort it has at present. Lastly (and most importantly in my view), special mention has to be made regarding the staff - always smiling, always helpful, they all played a large role in making our stay so memorable. Staff can make a huge difference to a hotel - and they do here. Also a special mention from me here for Diana at Reception, her help in booking the rooms was very much appreciated, as was her advice about using the tram and where to go - thanks Diana! In short, we couldn't have asked for more, but instead felt we'd received much more during our stay. I hope to be back.
