Paradero II

We booked this hotel/apartment through On the Beach for a bargain, especially considering the time of year, so our expectations were fairly low. However, they were exceeded largely. The location was fantastic – just a five-minute walk from the beach and nightlife, while still being far enough away that the noise from Las Américas didn't disturb us. We slept with the balcony door slightly open on several nights because of the heat and didn't hear a thing. The apartment was clean, modern, and had all the facilities we needed. Guests also had access to three pools, which were around a five-minute walk from the apartments. They were always quiet, so there were plenty of sunbeds available regardless of what time we arrived. The pool areas could definitely be improved. On a few occasions we noticed dirty sunbeds, some dirt and residue in the pool, and cracked tiles. This was mainly at the smaller, quieter pool and wasn't anything that caused us serious concern, but it was noticeable. Our only real complaint was the staff. I'm genuinely not sure whether it was a language barrier, but on several occasions they were quite unhelpful. When our package holiday transfer dropped us off from the airport, it left us at the apartments rather than the hotel reception where check-in takes place. We then had to walk around 10–15 minutes in 28°C heat with all our luggage trying to find the reception, which wasn't a great start to the holiday. When we eventually arrived to check in, there was very little communication from the staff. We were simply handed our key cards and a map. When we asked where our apartment was, a member of staff just scribbled on the map, meaning we then had to walk another 15 minutes back towards where we'd originally been dropped off. I imagine it would have been much more difficult to find if our transfer hadn't left us there in the first place. We were also given no information about the hotel or apartment facilities. After speaking to other guests, we found out we should have received an information sheet explaining things such as food options, access to the hotel pool, fan and safe rental, and the Wi-Fi details. When we returned to reception to ask for this information, we were given the Wi-Fi password for the hotel despite explaining that we were staying in the apartments. As expected, it didn't work. If it hadn't been for other guests, we would have had very little information about our stay. Overall, I think this was a real shame because the accommodation, location, and value for money all significantly exceeded our expectations. The lack of organisation and communication from the staff was genuinely the only aspect of our stay that let the experience down

We were from January 14 to February 4 in an apartment of Paradero 2. The staff are overfriendly. The room cleaner Celeste is a very friendly woman who knows about cleaning. Also the reception was very friendly and helpful. On arrival the water from the toilet ran a bit through and there was a garden chair broken. Immediately report to reception and within an hour toilet made and garden chair replaced. The neighbor also reported that his garden chair was about to break and it was also immediately replaced. The apartment was very clean. And every other day there was cleaning and towels and linen changed. Super. There is no pool and we could not use a pool nearby either. Not all apartments have sun and the apartments on the street side can be noisy for poor sleepers. You are everywhere near as it is very conveniently located to beach and restaurants.

There is 2 different apartment complex. We had to walk down a dark alley to get to the hotel not safe for young girls as me and my friend both 22 years old got put in this one there are men that hide in the trees/bushes which watch you and also shout sexual remarks to you Stayed here to find our room riddled with cockroaches they were in our sink in the cutlery and even went into our suitcases!! We informed the receptionist to be told that it is normal they will come to spray the room and not to have our balcony door open at all. We asked for a room change which got refused for the first ask. We went to the beach came back to get ready all seemed fine. When we got back to the room there they were again running around the floor beds and benches. We called the reception which they didn’t care went up to talk to them in person they told us nothing they can do handed us a spray to spray the room ourselves which made them worse!! We ended up sleeping at the reception which also had cockroaches in when we pointed them out the receptionist then accused us of putting them everywhere?? We talked to a manger which said they could change us but would properly happy again.
