Perla Tenerife

IMSERSO from June 6 to June 15, 2026. SUMMARY: If you can, DO NOT GO Above Puerto de la Cruz. Not at the height of Teide, but climbing from the beach and tourist area of the town requires a good physical level. Mandatory taxi fare of 5 to 7 euros. Dining room. Lines to enter. Very small. Crowded tables. Buffet always attentive to restocking. Breakfast is good. Food/dinner quality level is low. No comparison with other Imserso hotels. Room type apartment with disconnected stove and no dishes. Not even a couple of cups to make tea. Furniture is just adequate. Noise: depends on the neighbors you get, because there is no soundproofing at all. Staff: Good treatment. I will reiterate the summary: If you can, DO NOT GO

Terrible location. Very deficient buffet. The television is through Wi-Fi and works poorly; it cuts off countless times. Poor facilities, the cafeteria is quite small. Entertainment ends at 10 PM and the bar closes at 11 PM; since there is absolutely nothing around, it feels like they are sending you to bed at 11. I do not understand what criteria the insert uses to evaluate hotels, as paying the same amount leads to such a large difference between some hotels and others. The only good thing is the staff, who are generally quite pleasant.

Trip at the end of May 2026. The three stars are very generous. The location is bad; it is 2.5 km from the city center. But the bad part is that there are slopes of 15% and sections of stairs with 180 steps. The food is bad and not varied; the only thing that is decent is the breakfast, and it is not anything out of this world either. The dining room is very small, and they force you to eat in shifts more typical of Central Europe than of Spain. The staff makes a great effort to please and they are very polite, like the Canarian people in general; they are not responsible for this hotel disaster, but... In summary: If you are planning to come to Puerto de la Cruz, I recommend that you look for another option.
