Rural San Miguel

The hotel is located away from the tourist center, slightly higher and therefore very quiet. The location is definitely a plus. However, the house is described as “charm and ambience” – this should not be confused with “old and worn out”. The finca-style complex has potential in principle, but is clearly in need of renovation. Some areas seem outdated and should be urgently renewed. At breakfast I agree with other reviews: It seems to have stopped in the 90s. Hardly any variety, nothing special, no fresh or homemade components. Overall unappealing. The service is problematic. Parts of the staff seem overwhelmed and sometimes unfriendly. Criticism or defects are not received professionally. Example: Ants in the room were initially denied instead of taking the problem seriously and solving it uncomplicatedly. Instead, there was discussion – this is not appropriate treatment of guests. Conclusion: Quiet location and basically nice finca look, but overall in need of renovation and in the service area clear need of improvement. Training for staff would be useful.

Authentic old farmhouse restored as a unique small hotel. Spacious bathroom, nice/varied breakfast, wonderful grounds; enjoyed upper terrace, sauna and underground thermal spa. Attentive service, fast responses from manager, very short drive from the South Tenerife airport, in quiet part of town and close walks to most places in town

I give a three to the structure that might have potential, but it's mismanaged, it's neglected. We have had every day towels and bathrobes with huge holes, mold on the joints of the bathtub, stains on the bed. Even in the hot outdoor tub there was an anthill with all the dead ants in the tub. In short, with what is paid, this should not exist. I was ashamed for them. If you don't change the management, I don't recommend it.
