Absolutely loved this hotel with my Family. We came with friends who also had a family of 4. So we had 4 Adults and 4 Children under 4 with us. Location was perfect and free bus to Siam Park was great. Small walk to Beech and shops.
Atmosphere very good around the whole hotel and surrounding areas.
Rooms very cleaned and cleaned every day to a very high standard.
Value for money very good. We went half board and were very impressed. All the food was excellent and plenty of options for all the families. Drinks at dinner included a great range of soft drinks and beers as well as chilled water.
Busy hotel with plenty of great noise which finished at a reasonable time.
Service from reception, staff at meal times, activities, cleaning, lifeguards etc was fantastic.
Pools were great for families in the small and bigger pool.
Only negative I have is that being on the 9th floor the balcony and bedroom window are unsafe for small children for climbing etc. We just monitored the areas and kept kids away. No way to lock window or door to balcony.
Would stay again no issues at all!

The renovation is noticeable and we were very comfortable. Spacious room with a huge sofa bed for my four-year-old child. The food was average; every night there was a themed dinner, Mexican, Japanese, another day seafood, although it was not that great. The staff is lovely, the children's entertainers are very good. The music ended early, no problems sleeping, which is not the case at the other Sol. We spent a good week. Oh, and the parking is not free as indicated. It is 10€ per day, although on the promenade it was hard to find a spot...

We have just returned from our stay at Sol Arona and we have loved every minute. Reception staff are welcoming and nothing is a bother and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel provided meals and water in our room for guests checking in late into the evening, we have never received this at a 4 star hotel in Tenerife before. The room was lovely, we were in room 310, the new decor was modern and fresh with a cute little Smeg dupe fridge and a safe that you didn't have to pay for. We were travelling with our 10 year old son and he slept in the living area on a pull out sofa, normally at hotels like this the sofa beds are old and dated and an awful mattress, usually he ends up in our bed but this was lovely and clean/new and a great mattress so he was delighted, we had a separate bedroom with our own air con which was a bonus as my husband always has this on super cold so it meant my son wasn't too cold. The bathroom had a walk in shower which was pretty decent and a great size. The balcony was a decent size too. The pool is lovely and there are plenty sunbeds, there is also a separate solarium above the pool bar if you prefer it quieter. The baby pool has two slides and we weren't sure if our 10 year old would be allowed to go down the slides but the life guard was quite happy for him to. I have just read a couple of negative reviews about the pool and in our experience the life guards were good there were two and one would set a timer for every two mins so he could patrol. We were allowed floats, however we left on the 15th July and the pool wasn't overly busy but could see on the last two days of our trip that it was starting to get busier so perhaps the busier it gets then you might not be allowed which is understandable. The hotel is in a great location with bars and restaurants a short walk away. The beach is minutes away and is clean sun loungers a brolly only costing 3 Euros each for the whole day, when you continue along the prom you come to Las Americas which is about a 15-20 min walk, I believe only 6 Euros in a taxi we walked there and back with no complaints from our son as lots to see. We also noticed throughout the hotel that it was constantly cleaned/maintained. We were HB plus and we thought the food was really nice, not a huge selection at evening meals but we liked this as some hotels its over kill. I'm not a huge breakfast lover but my husband and son loved it. We very much keep ourselves to ourselves and tend to go out most nights so cannot comment on the evening entertainment but the entertainment round the pool was great and the staff put so much effort into everything they do. The only negative I could say was that when you are a late checkout if you wish to extend your room its 20 Euros to take you until 2pm and then an extra 10 Euros for each hour after I think when check-in is at 3pm but your flight doesn't land until after 8pm on the day of arrival its a bit cheeky but I guess loads of hotels do this, there are showers on the lower level but the door doesn't lock in the ladies, I do believe they are going to carry out renovations to these as there is a sign apologising for this, this all said this wouldn't put us off for returning. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and we will hopefully return next year if we can.
