bali was ok, my only comparison is thailand and i must say i prefered my thai holiday. not sorry i came but probably wont be back in a hurry. to unclean allround and far too many scams happening starting from where you almost have to save your luggage from the porters at the airport. how they can justify giving these guys access to your luggage prior to customs leaves me bewildered, no longer convinced shapelle is guilty as one of our bags had been opened, bit scary.

We have just returned from South East Bali boy o boy what a trip. Our trip was put together by our trip specialist Caroline Parry of Audely travel, we visited Sunur, La Taverner hotel right on the beach a very rustic hotel with very good staff. The rooms are very basic but you only use them for sleeping after a few days we moved inland to Ubud and stayed at Alila Ubud this hotel was first class as were the staff. At about 4pm everyday we were visited a troupe of monkeys right in front of our room and the view from the room was to die for looking right down the valley at the jungle it would be easy to forget where you were. Again after a few days we made our way back to the coast and did some sightseeing on the way down we stopped for a pinic lunch supplied by the hotel. Back at the coast we stayed at Alila Manggis again what a hotel it had everything you could want and if did not have it they would get it for you. All the meals that had at the hotels were first class also what made the trip so good was that we had our own guide Mawa and driver for the hole trip they looked after us so well and knowlege that Mawa had of the Island was fantastic.
