Despite the strategic and nice location the hotel could be much better. The food offer Is poor both in the service room option and the restaurant. Parking very expensive, Room nice but not worth the price you pay, and during out visit we had the impression of a general coldness in the working staff. No soul no emotions. Come on this place Is in Spain not Norway.

As we were traveling with a small dog and the hotel advertised that they were dog-friendly and the rooms had air conditioning we booked for one night. We arrived in the middle of a dangerously scorching heatwave, (43C) and when we checked in we were informed that there would be a 28€ parking fee and a €55 fee for the dog. (Outrageous)Moreover we had to sign a contract that we would not leave the dog alone in the room at anytime. Once in the room, the carpeting was stained and the walls were scuffed. The drain plug in the bathtub wasn’t working so I had to call for the technician. While we were waiting for his arrival I tried to adjust the air conditioning to a cooler temperature I realized that it didn’t work. It was set at a fixed temperature and that was it. When the repairman arrived I asked to look at the air conditioner and to my great astonishment he said that nothing could be done. So in the end we saw nothing of Bilbao because we couldn’t and wouldn’t leave our dog in the warm room by himself. We couldn’t take him to the pool or any of the sites to visit. In essence it was a complete waste of time and money. When I complained they didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. The location is a bit far from the city center. The only decent thing was the breakfast buffet. But as we had the dog with us (because we were forbidden to leave him in the room) they set our table in the lobby away from the buffet. We felt like lepers being separated from everything because we had a small dog. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

Excellent service right from the arrival. Very friendly and personal check-in from Zibor at reception. Lounge access while waiting for the room to be ready. Friendly staff, great food and excellent value for money of the whole stay.
