Uga Bay

We had diner at the Uga Bay restaurant. Very delicious and excellent quality dishes. The climate inside the restaurant was nicely cool and we liked the calm setting. Very kind and helpful staff. A special word of thanks to Sangeetha (at the restaurant) and Aasir (at the reception) who were so very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Uga Bay at Pasikuda is heaven on earth! My husband and I stayed for a week didn't want to leave. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the beach is stunning, the pool is amazing and the food is out of this world. Being a vegetarian I have never had so much variety and flavour in veg food. Many many thanks to the chefs. I also recommend booking the dinner along with the room as the daily 5 course meals are exceptional. However, the staff - everyone from the pool boys and cleaning staff to the restaurant and reception staff - is what makes Uga Bay shine. They're polite, helpful and friendly. A special shout out to Dilrukshi and Ramani - two amazing women who run the show and make women everywhere proud. The only disappointment was the spa where the masseuse had no idea how to give a massage. It was a waste of time and money. But nothing can take away from the Uga Bay experience. There are plenty of activities like paddle boating and jet skiing on the resort beach itself and snorkeling and elephant watching a couple of hours away, all easily organised. Highly highly recommend!

dream hotel. everything is extremely clean, beautiful rooms with a sea view, staff very attentive. Dream beach, pool very well maintained, possibility of snorkeling with an aquarium right before your eyes....We had done a one-week private tour before arriving in this haven of peace, in order to leave rested, discover Colombo, and then return to France. varied and excellent breakfast buffet. The à la carte meals served on plates were of high quality. (a big disappointment when we had to switch to "international" evening buffets due to a hotel requirement.) Even the little local specialties corner was no longer at the same level) Do not hesitate to treat yourself to dinner in the sand, unforgettable!! We were on the basic all-inclusive plan (there are 2 levels); the latter is more than satisfactory and offers great possibilities (drinks are quite expensive and it adds up very quickly if you stay there for a few days). We will have excellent memories of our stay. Thank you to everyone for contributing to it.
