Didn't start well. Had previously sent a few emails that I will be arriving at 0100, not 1300. that was approved twice. Got there just before 1 am to be told room isn't ready and that we were supposed to check into the room at 1 pm. so 0100 is 1 pm for them? They kept saying it was a misunderstanding and said we will be upgraded for free the next day. First night was awful DO NOT get a room starting with 100, 200 or 300 well after this honest review don't get a room at this place at all, we were in 200 something and all we got was nightclub music going until 4am. Everyone that mentions it is absolutely right. They did upgrade us however I did book an AC equipped room and didn't pay a cheap amount of money. We got the Ozeki suite its quite a decent sized room. Positives are the space and a tiny bit of view can see a bit of the sea. Being close to the beach basically a 2 minute walk. Great for trainspotters walking over 2 railway lines and the Mount Lavinia beach is nice. Plenty of decent restaurants. Tried almost all of them and all good. Negatives Dirty Bathroom look at the photos even my own ensuite at home looks a million times better than that, Room is cleaned only when you ask never come across that ever. Tv hardly worked always blaming the cable company when my cousins tvs worked perfectly fine, invest in a proper dish your not charging budget coin here., If the nightclub music on a Thursday Friday and Saturday doesn't get to you then its the old boys school music events on the same nights. One night we heard a live band competing against drum and bass music thank god for ANC headphones. Wifi is simply shocking to the point it shouldn't even be advertised its got a limit as well and every day you got to ask for the new username and password. Highly unsecure do not go onto personal information on that connection. Sri Lankan 4G is very good. On Par with Nz and much better than Aus. Beds had linen that had rips stains etc. Towels are what i use to dry my dog after i wash him. For the price, we paid 54000 rupees for 13 nights it's exactly the same I paid for a 4-star hotel in Bangkok and that hotel was miles ahead of this. This isn't a hotel, more like a budget Motel. No Fridge, No iron, All you pay for is a bed AC, very tiny tv and a bathroom. The shower is a mist of water it starts ultracold and then a minute later becomes scorching hot and there's no cold water after that. That buzzer that yells out "HELLO" pissed me off. The guy sleeping on the couch when we were going for early morning walks shows no commitment. The place is under construction so photos do not look like the actual product.

We got a room next to the „reception” desk. There was a movement sensor ringing all the time as soon as there was a person close to it - had to ask the receptionist to deactivate it as it was impossible to sleep. The room was dirty (bottles under the beds + dust). The shower was broken and we shared the bathroom with a huge bug lol. In the middle of the night we got woken up by a disco / nightclub music located above our room. We asked to be moved but got lied that “all the rooms had been booked”... Left at 4 am as could not stand the place. Waste of your money... Just need to add we are backpackers and are used to Asian budget options. This one was a joke. AVOID!!!!!

We booked 2 nights here on our way back to Colombo before flying out of Sri Lanka. The hotel is roughly 1 hr 30 mins drive from the airport. At first we were put in a non-a/c room which was extremely hot (as if they’d had a heater on in there before we arrived!) - the fan was very slow and even with the windows open there was no air circulation. We upgraded to an a/c room for 1100 rupees per night which we thought was a little pricey (this doubled the price of our stay). The hotel staff are all young and it was quite difficult to speak with them in English. The upgraded room was much nicer with a balcony and more modern bathroom. There is noise during the night due to the nightclub downstairs and also a lot of door slamming! We weren’t sure if this was from staff or guests! All in all, an ok stay.
