Hikkaduwa Beach

Had read previous reviews prior to booking but had not picked up on the fact that they were around 18 months old. On arrival cleaning was still taking place and replacement of light bulbs etc made us feel we were the first visitors for some time. That said the rooms are light and spacious with good air con and bedding. Bathrooms are modern and clean. We had no hot water during our stay though. This was blamed on there being no sun to heat using the solar panels. Most of my party are Sri Lankan and all know you need to flip a switch to revert to mains power, so was not impressed with that element. Our room had a mini fridge which was a great bonus. The lounge and kitchen was comfortable and usable and led onto a conservatory overlooking the pool. No air con in these areas but so long as sliding doors were open the sea breeze kept it cool. The pool is very good. 4 foot depth across it's entirety which is great for non swimmers. Kids were safe in their own shallow area. Really nice cabbana at the foot of the garden to have meals overlooking the ocean. The private beach is not easy to access for the less able bodied. Also worth noting that access to the cabbana, garden and beach requires you to to go u a couple of steps to cross the pool and the same going down. Quite difficult for my aging Father in law. Staff were attentive and helpful. Food was excellent. Overall a very good stay and this property is firmly on our radar for future use.

White Sand Villa Hikkaduwa is an incredible vacation spot. This beautiful villa located adjoining the sandy Hikkaduwa beach is complete with a nice pool and indoor games. It was the perfect place for our family to relax and unwind. We were treated to delicious food by the excellent staff who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and having a great time. We would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Our family really enjoyed this Fresh, peaceful, spacious and calm Villa. Although it’s located by the main road through Hikkaduwa we weren’t disturbed by it. The big balconies, the pool, the private beach and the stunning view of the sunset along with the constant sound of the wawes made the stay really joyful. On top of everything we had really good support from the manager, Mendis and the best ever caretaker, Thusitha who was available 24/7 with first class service, always with a smile and a relaxed and friendly approach. We will miss you, Thusitha <3.
