Cocovillas is right on the beach, with a beautiful garden, with hammocks, sun beds, and plenty of space to relax and feel like you are almost alone. The host is very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Lovely food and careful service. Happy to recommend!

I stayed at CocoVilla at the end of my Sri Lanka vacations and it was amazing. The property is super pretty and very well maintained. It's an oasis of tranquility and if you are looking to relax and unwind, this is the place to go. The beach is clean and pretty. The owner is very attentitive and always available to answer questions or organize trips, transport etc. The home cooked food is from fresh ingredients and delicious. Each room is furnished and designed slightly differently and there are only 7 rooms, adding to the personalized atmosphere away from mass tourism. Prices are higher than at other places in Sri Lanka which is justified by the high quality of the property and service. I would definitely come back.

If you are travelling in Sri Lanka and feel the need of a sanctuary to relax and recharge your batteries, look no further than this hotel. The approach road does not prepare you for what awaits inside. Don't be put off by the narrow road and track and the big black gate that faces you on arrival. Once opened, the gate reveals an oasis of calm which is beautiful and secluded. The staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you, whilst totally respecting your privacy if you need it. The food is good and delightfully presented. The garden area which extends to the beach, offers numerous areas to sit or lie with good views of the sea and beach but is kept private with a fence. Access to the beach and sea for swimming is easy and the small beach was quite during our time there. The rooms are uncluttered and deliberately devoid of distractions like televisions which were not missed by us at all. We had a room with an outdoor bathroom which felt luxurious. Everything about the hotel was tasteful and artistic and during our stay, we felt supported and completely rested. I hope to have the opportunity to visit again sometime.
