Royal Beach Resort

Located next to a beach which offers a good sea view. Rooms were spacious. It was a small hotel and thus Restaurant was not well equipped. There was no Intercom or phone in the Hotel. Hotel phone apparently was not there at all. So for everything we had to go down 2-3 floors to order. There was no mobile phone to call on. Phone number which was given was of their Corporate Office and not of the Hotel. Housekeeping was lax. No blanket was given unless demanded. Towels had to be demanded. But hotel was located in good place. I think hotel has to provide basic thing like intercom or Mobile number Otherwise Staff was very helpful and polite. Sea view is just fantastic. Nicely maintained swimming pool. Decent breakfast spread. Some good restaurants nearby to eat though.

Pros: This is a charming property in a great beach front location with friendly staff. Special mention to Mahes who looked after us well. Cons: Needs a little freshen up.

The Joes Resort Bentota offers a very good view and an amazing private beach, making it a great spot for relaxation. The food was average, and it's a bit far from the main beach area, but the peaceful ambiance and beautiful sunset in the evening made up for it. The staff was nice, and overall, it was a good and relaxing stay. Highly recommended!
