Sunset Beach

Had a stay at this horrible place for a day as a stopver @ via srilankan @ colombo. Nobody to receive a guest @ 12:00Am, Front desk staff sleeping on the floor in the counter,were irritated to see a guest @ that hour,finally with great difficulty give you the keys ,&ask you to go to the room , Lift not working , luggage had to be pushed thro a dark passage & finally you enter a room which stinks ,immediately the electricity goes off & nobody around to ask anything even ,whole night was night marish with no lights/ electricity/fan/forget about a/c. ......lots of mosquitoes ..finally had to open the doors of the sit out to get some fresh air..The view of the Beach is good,but Filthy Beach ,you never feel like going near the waters even.....Breakfast is good , but lunch at that place is ....below average...No Airline should book this sub standard place & put their customers in such trouble ... Overall a Below average place Please dont Risk staying here ...Dr SANTHOSH lUKE

Stay in Sun set hotel 08 February 2017 very Terrible services are received from Hotel staff. Room are very smell not clean the wash room food was very bad. We will not recommended to stay this kind of poor services hotel - Just show the pictures to get happy to the clients & but when you reach over there terrible & they charge the money for the unnecessary

Have visited Sunset Beach 5 times since 2010. Excellent transit Hotel, It's comfortable well equipped and It's quaint and friendly. Walter is a fantastic and welcoming manager. The bar staff are on the ball and they all speak good English as well as some French and German. Foods good, pools good, rooms are comfortable, service is good and the beach is easily accessible. Fantastic place to watch the Catamarans go by whilst lazing in the sun sipping Bacardi. Also has a restaurant for breakfasts, lunch and dinner whether you're staying or not, serves good tasty food at a reasonable price. Easy access to shops, restaurants and bars with prompt Tuctuc service available. Luv Sri Lanka, the people are fantastic as is the culture and the vibrancy.
