It’s my fifth time in the Boulder Garden as I have been on a mission to spot the blue magpie in Sinharaja. I’ve read some of the latest reviews and I wasn’t sure if to return but it was always such a wonderful experience that I wasn’t deterred and decided to go anyway. My first time in this hotel was in November 2012 and I’m very happy I went back again and again. Anand made us feel at home, we had the best service and everyone was so friendly as always. I love this place! I highly recommend staying in this hotel and enjoy the architecture, the delicious food, the best service and the most attentive staff in general! Every day they beautifully decorate your table, cater for your wishes and make you feel a special guest. The years pass and material do age but overall it was perfect and in the most beautiful location. I’m already planning my return even though I did spot the blue magpie this time.

Our stay at Boulder Garden was truly an amazing experience … we felt as if we were in the heart of the jungle... The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. A special mention to Ananda who was constantly at our service to ensure we were comfortable and happy during the stay. The room was spacious, and clean. It's a bit of challenge for people with mobility difficulties. The food was simple and good but could be improved. A lovely place to relax and unwind ... recommend to anyone who wants to experience a unique stay!

Beautiful hotel. We were unable to book accomodation at the hotel due to it being fully booked so we visited the restaurant for dinner and returned for breakfast the next morning as we fell in love with the food, ambience, serenity and natural beauty. The manager Anand was extremely accomodating and kind. I will definitely return and hope to stay at the hotel as well. There are a few stairs to climb to enter and there may be little phone reception (which is common in the area) but its a beautiful escape
