Monty Guest House

We were only supposed to stay here for 2 nights, but ending up staying for 6 nights whilst visiting family in Ampara. The rooms were comfortable, had a great nights sleep here. They were very clean as well. There is pool which is a nice feature as there isn't many hotels with pools in Ampara. The food was good and tasty, but it did take a while, I guess because its all cooked to order, which we didn't mind. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It is situated in a quiet location just past the bus station in Ampara. We will go back next year when we visit.

The rooms were ok, with air conditioning that worked. The staff were friendly but a little disorganised. There is a swimming pool. the food was ok but took quite a long time to arrive. No-one helped us with getting our bags up to the second floor rooms.

Me and my wife came for a wedding function and we booked the hotel. Room rate is little bit higher than other hotels. But it is ok. I wish if they can keep iron and satellite tv in the room. Overall is good. Nice pool. Staff is good. Clam place. Nice lobby area. Food is very good. Prasanna who work in the reception desk is friendly and nice. I'll come back again. Recommended for others.
