Royal Swazi Spa

We stayed for 1 night as part of a Saga tour. It does look very good on the surface but our room was in need of some maintenance. The back of the bathroom door is going rotten and there is black mould on the floor. There are some tiles broken and loose near the pool area also. The food was very good as was the service from the staff. We did not use the golf course which seemed very popular.

We have visited the pool deck for lunch on a number of occasions but have now stopped. The food is poor and management ban the use of the pool by guests. This is shortsighted, a simple surcharge will keep the masses away (if that is the aim). So we no longer spend our more than E1000 on family lunches and choose other venues where the pool is available for guests.

The locations is still beautiful and the swimming pool area is very nice. I do not gamble so I cannot comment on the casino. The rooms are VERY DISAPPOINTING, I don’t think the bathrooms have received and routine maintenance since the Hotel was built. (Old, dated and simply the the end of their lives) Likewise I think the current mattresses where also “installed” more than 2 decades ago. The A/C units are old and noisy
