Best Western Grand Hotel Elektra

Very nice and clean rooms. Really recommend this hotel and the staff Anna Karin who was incredible service mind.

The room looked like a hotel room usually does and it felt fresh. Was pleasantly surprised that chromecast to the TV worked, it was thus possible to watch eg youtube and Netflix. It is unusual in the “hotel world” of my experience. There was also a real lock on the door (chain), felt safe. But now to what makes me probably not return and not recommend the hotel. The beds were very hard, parking would be free but it wasn't, it was quite dim lighting and the room was very warm. Since no ac fans so I looked for windows, it fans actually a very small that could be opened. But there was some ventilation fan just outside that made quite a noise. There was only a shower towel in the bathroom and the spoons that you usually find in all rooms were made of wood that chipped. And now for breakfast, this is probably not a huge deal really. But according to me this is almost a requirement for a hotel, at least I have never stayed in one without… BACON. There's no bacon at the breakfast buffet. And then I can also think that the food looked a bit sweaty, like it's been out for too long (which it probably has). However, it is well in that way everywhere and really nothing to get hooked on. Overall, I think the hotel itself is great but the heat and the missing bacon pulled it down considerably.

Very comfortable beds and excellent Service from the staff. Breakfast varied, freshly baked bread, blah. Reception open all night. Well equipped gym adjacent to the hotel and with entrance from the hotel. However, AC was missing in the room which was a bit of a shame in hot July.
