BEST WESTERN STRAND

We had a really lovely stay! Since we were traveling with two teenagers we booked two rooms. At first, we got rooms in different buildings, which felt like the start of a family version of "Find the Children." But the staff solved it quickly and smoothly, so we got room next to each other – big plus for that! The breakfast had everything you could want and was served in a quiet and pleasant environment. We were going home early, so the hotel arranged a breakfast bag to take away. The roof terrace was a real treat, literally! Good drinks, an impressive range of non-alcoholic options and a great view. The pool and gym were also well visited, especially by our teenagers. Although the pool was a bit cool, after the first swim it was just a matter of pretending it was "refreshing". The location is great – in the middle of Visby and close to everything. Parking, on the other hand, can be a bit of a treasure hunt, so be patient. Tip: Buy something good, sit down along the promenade and enjoy the sunset. It is free, unbeatable and probably one of Visby's best attractions.

Lovely environment but a little dated.

Rooms are ok but towels are too small. The breakfast is a failure. Absolutely too little space, you are lucky to find a place to sit. We came before nine and all food was gone, had to wait for them to bring more little by little. Difficult to sleep since pidgeons have inhabitet the suspended ceiling and run around and make noise all night. And the place is a maze since it consists of two parts with a lot of corridors.
