Best Western Strand Hotel

A very central hotel with perfect location and walking distance to everything in central Visby. Parking was either right outside the hotel or within about five minutes walk, which worked smoothly. We got a spacious family room that suited us four well. The hotel has a somewhat Mediterranean feel with stone stairs and greenery inside, which gave a pleasant and unique atmosphere. The breakfast buffet was good and there is both indoor pool and a really cozy rooftop bar that became a favorite during the stay. In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay here and would love to stay here again on a visit to Visby.

I would not stay there again. I asked at the reception about the fan that heard a lot and that it was cold in the room. Then I hear a male at reception say to his female colleague: People always complain. I'd love to know who they are. How disrespectful you treat your guests. They forget that it is precisely guests who pay so they can get their wages. Hadn't the company had the agreement with hotel would never stay there again. Now I’m back with a heavy cold and sinusitis because I was cold for several nights because I couldn’t turn off the fan. If you think you are going to stay in the main building of the hotel you will be disappointed when you get your room across the street by the parking lot.

It is in a super location, just inside the town walls near the sea front. It is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was magnificent. Parking available. Would definitely stay again.
