Quality Hotel Lulea

Great service and breakfast. The rooms were ok but lacked AC. However, very unhappy with the noise level from the street. Had the rooms right above the bar / restaurant and it was loud and loud. Apart from the noise from the bar, there was noise from cars and very loud drunk people. Did not fall asleep until after 03 when it finally calmed down outside. If I had known how disturbing it would be, I would have asked for rooms that did not face the street. Ruined a lot of the stay.

The stay was fraught with disappointment due to the experience at the hotel. The plan was a combined birthday trip and a trip along memorylane with my partner. But the great feeling was dashed by this hotel stay. May not be any big deal for others but still affected our stay negatively. The hotel room that we received did not match the pictures when booking. Again no big deal but still something we chose hotel from. When booking, it was not noted that there was a renovation going on. It is both because I did not read properly but also because it was not printed clearly enough. Was on the website “Renovated 2026” as if it were finished. If I had noticed this, I would not have booked as we wanted a special hotel stay. The renovation disturbed a lot and brought down the feeling of our stay. If you are on holiday, you want to avoid living on a construction site. Other than the room, there are small simple means that would lift the stay. For example, it is cleaned, a small refrigerator, a small coffee machine. The reception at check-in. We arrived earlier and asked if the room was available. It did but we had to pay an early check-in fee. I understand that you have cost for this if I booked early check-in but it feels cheap that you have to pay if the room is already ready when you arrive earlier due to unplanned conditions. The staff's reception was everything else is nice at check-in. Felt like we came at a bad time and were a nuisance. Messaged with a perceived sour, sighing comment that the rooms were not cleaned every day. This was no problem for us but the way it was done was felt that we would definitely not expect anything special during the stay. Luckily, the lack of response was saved by the staff in the afternoon/evening who were accommodating/service oriented and had a positive attitude. During the stay it is noted that it is very untidy in the room. Large dust balls under chair, desk and behind the curtain. We might have been able to announce this but knowing it was pretty much fully booked and after the measured comment about the room not being cleaned during the stay, we didn't. Instead, it becomes a statement that makes me next time look elsewhere. To top it off, we were woken up on the day of check-out by a knock and the room door opened. This despite the fact that we put up the do not disturb sign. Found that it was cleaning staff who either went to the wrong room to clean or got the wrong list which rooms to clean. Check out smoothly and the staff anyway polite. What was missing, however, was a simple question of whether everything was fine during the stay. During check out we also noticed a note saying that you had to ask for cleaning in the room if you wished so during the stay. Maybe we should have seen but when you check in and the staff tells you that the room will not be cleaned you do not look for a note / sign that says otherwise. Overall, we are so disappointed with the stay. If you are on holiday and visiting Luleå you would have liked better reception, nicer and better cleaned rooms. Clearly underrated and choose another hotel next time.

A great city and a good hotel. Bodd there many times. Many good restaurants, especially CG. Lost Kocks' kro at the hotel, but there seems to be something new there.
