Hotel Master Johan

Usually i dont only post a review after my stay but this stay is different. And coming from someone who is studying in the worlds best hospitality school i can vouch for that. Checked in into one of the most stylish hotels, straight from booking the process they were prompt and when got to know im visiting sweden for the first time they also upgraded my room even tho being a high season and hotel being sold out they honoured it. As soon as i checked in the lobby is lively with a bar and receptionist greeted and warmly welcomed me to the hotel. She also gave me the best recommendations. The room as i soon as i saw i was impressed with the peak detailing in every corner with a personal note on the bed. The hallways are dark intimate with the perfect lighting and rooms are bright so it feels like entering into a different world. The size of the room is really spacious and the bathroom is special too. The main selling point of the hotel is their courtyard with natural light and the vibes are honestly amazing. I wish my stay was longer but definitely gonna recommend to people who are visiting Malmo or even Copenhagen. Kudos to the team.

Me and my husband have been very many times at this hotel and really enjoyed everything, room, staff, breakfast, food etc. But this time when we were going to celebrate our anniversary and her husband's birthday, it was anything but to our liking. I had to start by showing the ID, fine maybe you should do that but after a number of nights in a month it felt strange. The TV did not work during our 2 nights and it may not be the end of the world but it was pouring rain and less pleasant weather outside. The shower wears itself out like a violent snake when you are standing and showering so everything turned out so bad, no bathrobes this time but obviously you get bathrobes when they feel like it because it's not something you can count on.Me and my husband felt very humiliated when we would put a beer on the bill came the guy in the bar up to us and claimed that we did not stay at the hotel, well just to go up and try to explain that we had room and finally it came out that someone forgot to press that we were checked in. The food in the restaurant was quite ok, but if you see any influencer showing pictures of the food from here you can be quite unsure if that is how it will look for you unfortunately. The breakfast is pretty good but if you eat several mornings it can be a bit boring. We came down several mornings when the time starts at breakfast, sometimes it is open and several have arrived and sometimes it is the exact time. Several of the big tables were reserved the whole time we sat there without anyone being there, so it’s just to squeeze up as you can. Breakfast staff is the best thing about our last stay. But now unfortunately MJs have got our last visit

Very good hotel with good service, you can ask for most things, the staff is always nice, available and accommodating, otherwise the staff stay away and let you enjoy your stay in peace and quiet. The rooms are nice and clean, but it is wise to look at pictures before booking your trip, as the interior style is a bit special and not suitable for everyone, such as children. We have been to MJ several times and look forward to returning. The restaurant is also worth a visit, likewise I can recommend a drink in the lobby.
