Hotel Plaza

Very classic hotel with a super central location in Malmö. Large, clean and nice rooms with good bed. Good selection for breakfast, but too few (and too dense) tables. Perfect for a single night or weekend stay with walking distance to everything. As with all hotels in Malmö: P-houses are expensive, so find street parking if possible. We will be happy to come back when our favorite hotel is fully booked.

Have stayed here many times but it has gotten worse. Deluxe rooms are good rooms but not very deluxe. The other categories feel small and dark if you stay several nights. I had called and asked for the same room as always (located in a remote location, far from the elevators) and was promised that it would be included as requests in the booking, but apparently I had booked the wrong room category so the request was not included when I gave a call on the way to see if it had been possible to arrange. That room seems to be or has become a deluxe room when I thought it was superior. I was reprimanded on the phone when that room cost 300 SEK extra per night, which I of course paid. A little sad start to the stay though. We didn't feel crazy welcome when we arrived. The staff, apart from the reprimand, were otherwise polite. The one who has the best track and seems to care most about customers is André. He feels genuine, positive and nice but he did not staff the reception when we were there. The breakfast was generally no big deal; the scrambled eggs tasted strange, the pre-cut was dry and looked like it had been out for a long time, the liver pate slices became browner and drier every day and the cheese as well. The breakfast staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very well located but is becoming doubtful if it is enough. The staff is most important and when they start to feel blasé, the stay does not feel pleasant.

Great location and not least a fantastic service. My girlfriend had trouble walking due to an accident, which the staff had noticed, and we received a (massive) upgrade closer to the elevator without charge. In addition, the breakfast was delicious and there were nice parking in the basement. We'd love to come back. Thanks for a lovely stay.
