Best Western Amani

Glad I wasn’t travelling alone as I wouldn’t fancy the walk to the station. Trains to central were frequent and ran late. Room was basic, no wardrobe no safe but you could leave valuables at reception. Breakfast was same every day and you cleared your own plates which was a little off putting. That said staff were friendly and it was right next door to the Burger King if u got peckish 😊

Pretty spacious room in simple Scandinavian design. Partially unpaved fastest way on foot from commuter train station - Arstaberg. Fortunately there was no snow, when I stayed there. Pretty helpful and reactive staff.

Reception area and front of house staff were nice. Rest of hotel could do with some decorating and modernisation, had a motel feel to it. Dated bedroom furniture, bad odour in the corridors. Rooms not cleaned throughly, found peanuts and crumbs around the bedroom floor. Biscuits at breakfast constantly left open. Not a lot of shops nearby other than a petrol stations and a Burger King that closes relatively early at 10pm. Other than that, great links to the city, decent breakfast selection, very helpful staff, a couple pieces of useful gym equipment and a quaint and clean sauna available until 10pm. Value for money.
