Collector's Lady Hamilton Hotel

I stayed here for 5 nights in a small double room which was fine for 1 person but would have been cramped for 2. There was nowhere to put the suitcase that didn't impede walking round the bed. The bathroom was modern and had plenty of space for toiletries. there was a good selection at Breakfast, I always ate early so the buffet was well stocked. There is ice making machine on the 1st floor and water is always available at reception. The one drawback is the fact that the church which is almost next door has bells chiming right through the night. The hotel staff told me they have asked them to stop this but they refuse. The earplugs provided some respite but I did not have 1 good night's sleep.

Really enjoyed our three night stay and were well catered for. The room was small but adeqauate and it was very clean and although facing the street very quiet. The decor in the hotel is slightly quirky but fascinating. It is very well located for the main Old Town attractions. It was nice to have tea and coffee available in the lobby. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of meats and cheeses with sweeter items available. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Of course it pulled from the window towards the street, the bed was narrow and the room crowded and certainly it was noisy in the room because people walked below on the way to and from the market on Stortorget. But we didn’t choose an old genuine hotel in the heart of the action to alienate us but to embrace the Old Town of history. We did! Appreciated the modern bathroom though - with underfloor heating. The reception was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast simple but fulfilled its purpose in a comfortable environment and relaxed atmosphere. In short: We enjoyed our stay and will gladly come again!
