We stayed three nights in one of their family rooms on the 5th floor. We had plenty of space for four of us, rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. The room looked on to the main road which was noisy at night so you could not sleep with the window open. Breakfast was excellent and the bar had a nice atmosphere in the evenings. The location is fantastic. 10 min walk to the main train station. 5 min walk to the water. You can explore all the main sights on foot from here. Lots of restaurants and bars close by too. The staff were also all very helpful and friendly. It's not luxury but as a base to explore the city it is very good.

My husband surprised me with a trip to Stockholm for my birthday, and staying at Hotel Kung Karl made the celebration even more special. We had booked one of the nicer rooms, but to our surprise we were upgraded to the beautiful Victoria Suite. It was such an amazing start to our stay! While we waited a short time for the room to be ready, the staff kindly offered us a glass of sparkling wine, which was a lovely and thoughtful gesture. What truly made this hotel stand out was the exceptional staff. Everyone was incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. They took the time to chat with their guests and made us feel valued throughout our stay. You could really tell that they care about creating a memorable experience. To make my birthday even more special, they had prepared a handwritten birthday card and a sweet surprise in our room. It’s those little personal touches that make all the difference and turn a great stay into an unforgettable one. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Stureplan, within walking distance of great shopping, restaurants, and everything Stockholm has to offer. The breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and high quality. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Hotel Kung Karl for making our stay so memorable. We had an amazing stay and will definitely be back. We highly recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting Stockholm!
