The pool was closed for service the two nights we were here which was a shame when we travel with children. One of the extra beds for the children was dust rats under the mattress. In the evening before the second night there was a block in the drain from the toilet, so water came up in the floor drain by the bathtub i.e. Faeces came up that way.
We had to change to another room but we got no other further compensation for the trouble of moving all our luggage etc.

We spent two nights at this hotel as many of the other hotels around Stockholm were fully booked and it was conveniently located to access Stockholm but also Tallink Silja ferry back to Finland. The hotel in itself seems to be old and without air-conditioning, however it’s clean and tidy. We had a family room on first floor and it was fine for four of us. Unfortunately the sound-proofing isn’t very good and one could hear easily people talking and laughing or moving furniture in the other rooms, which is fine during the daytime, but not late at night.
The breakfast was good, there was plenty to choose from. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna, however we didn’t get to use them as apparently the pool was already full, when trying to access it, which was a slight disappointment to kids. I guess we didn’t quite understand it should be booked hours in advance, should you want to use it.
The hotel is located next to IKEA and also a shopping centre is nearby. Therefore we ate our lunch and dinner elsewhere and didn’t use the hotel bar or restaurant.

We were in Stockholm for a three day event at 3arena. Even though the Scandic Kungens Kurva hotel was not very close to the venue it was a fairly priced hotel conveniently located near public transportation.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. There were no amenities like a coffee maker, microwave or refrigerator but we did find that we were able to make use of the common refrigerator in the lobby.
I enjoy a run to start my day and the gym has two treadmills, a bike, an elliptical, weights and all the other equipment usually found in a gym.
I didn't swim in the pool but I did book time for the sauna which felt pretty amazing after a long day.
The complimentary breakfast was excellent. Eggs, fruit, many choices of meats and cheese, yogurt, breads, pancakes...I could go on but there were too many items to list. In the five mornings I stayed there I was able to sample a lot of what they had to offer and all of it was very good.
Breakfast boxes were also available to take on the go or for eating in the room. I didn't get one but I was told they contained yogurt, muesli, fresh fruit, bread, assorted toppings, butter, and a juice.
Some people have complained about the road noise on the side of the hotel that faces IKEA (the largest IKEA in Sweden by the way) but my room was on that side and I didn't notice very much noise at all. There doesn't seem to be much traffic anyway so I'm not sure what they were referring to.
I think the area that stood out most was the staff. They were all very friendly and accommodating. I don't speak swedish but they were very understanding and helped me out immensely.
All in all I was very satisfied with my five night stay at Scandic Kungens Kurva hotel
