Hilton Slussen

While this hotel doesn't look much from the outside, it has much to offer. The views over the waterfront are amazing and the hotel bar, which also looks over the waterfront is excellent. It got busy at weekends as people come to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset. Our room was comfortable although the chairs were more practical than comfortable. AC worked well which was a blessing. The room was quiet except for one morning when children in a neighouring room kept banging their door. The public areas looked very swish although we didn't use them. The location is great. The square opposite the hotel is a very up and coming place. People gather there in the evenings for drinks at the open air bars and there are some trendy restaurants on the square too. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Gamla Stan and close to the ferry point for Djurgarden.

Fabulous location. Great service and professional. We are currently staying at the hotel Hilton slussen for a week. As a family of 4, with 2 teenage girls we always try to book a hotel close to the centre of things, and this hotel certainly provides that. The reception was welcoming, from the receptionist who was professional, polite and knowledgeable. The rooms, 2 executive rooms, both of which are clean, decent size and have baths. We booked club and dinner for the 7 days. Club has a happy hour from 5 - 7 with g&ts etc. All self service and a good mixture of board games, which as a family we enjoyed. Note. waiters at breakfast aren’t always proactive and don’t always listen to the guests, there is a good system for showing you have taken a table at breakfast, however there was one waiter who did not follow this system and gave our table away to another guest. by the window away to someone else, he may need some retraining in how the system works. The meal in the Eken restaurant was always good and our daughter had her 17th birthday whilst staying in the Hilton slussen, and the waiters in the Eken restaurant brought out her birthday cake, with candles and sang happy birthday!! Reception staff, also brought her some birthday treats to enjoy! It was super kind. All in all a very good choice, close and walkable to gamla Stan, the palace and even the ikea city shop! Keep up the good work.

Very good hotel with friendly & informative staff. The breakfast is really good with extensive choice including a chef cooking your omelettes etc to your preference & order while you wait. There is air-conditioning in the bedrooms although, sadly, due to crazy Swedish rules you are not allowed to actually be cooled to a level you might wish! So on hot days you won't actually be cool in your bedroom. However, a fan was provided on request & between the poorly performing AC and the fan it was OK (not sure if it would be at 30 degrees outside....). Room & hotel really nice. Good position to get into Gamla Stan and onto the public ferry to the ABBA & VASA museums.
