Hotel Surte

Short distance to train, grocery store. Locked parking (free), perfectly OK room, nice breakfast. Quiet area and kind price. Very good. Commuter trains to central Gothenburg run frequently and are inexpensive. We parked the car for 3 days and experienced Gothenburg on foot/by train. About 10 minutes to walk to the train station. Reception pretty 12-4pm and that's perfectly fine. If you need help, they will arrange it (key box, etc.) Friendly staff

I was attending a funeral in the area and needed somewhere to stay. This hotel had everything I needed: a good hotel room, comfortable bed, breakfast sufficient for my needs, good parking (fenced), close to the E45. No unnecessary luxury, just what I really needed, at a good price. In addition, it was clean and tidy and the staff was nice.

I found this hotel to be the local motel in the area. The room was small, the walls very thin but was cleaned daily. There was a fridge in the room, but no kettle, coffee, tea, milk, etc. This was very sad, since the room was pricey. There was a flat screen TV with some basic channels. The WiFi signal was average to good. There was soap and shower gel available and the towels were changed every day. Breakfast was the same every day and both warm and cold options were available. They made up at breakfast with nice hot coffee and tea, which is not available in the room. The hotel is about 900 m away from Surte station, which are 2 stations away from Gothenburg central station. The hotel staff was friendly and provided directions when asked.
