Tanums Gestgifveri

We arrived in Tanum after a short trip with Colorline from Sandefjord to Strømstad. The weather was not the very best, but after a short drive we finally arrived. Check-in went quick. Tanum Gjestgiveri consists of several buildings, and they have retained the old style. The main house with reception, living room and guest rooms was centrally located. A larger building contained the restaurant where breakfast was served. Another building was an annex on two floors with guest rooms. There we were. Nice place. Nice service. Can be recommended as accommodation if you are going south or north.

Great food! We tried duck, beef filet, fish and Caesar salad – all tasted great. 😊 Can highly recommend a visit!

Rooms ok. Quiet and calm. The food has to be tap-danced with those prices. Top fried beef fillet, top fried fish and bad taste overall. And add the incomparable fish stew back to the menu. We were here 10 years ago and it's a shadow of what it was then. I'm sorry. The overall feeling is that it is skimping on ingredients and perhaps even staff in the restaurant.
