Park Hotel Bad Zurzach

The reception staff is competent and attentive, but speaks almost no French... The underground garage and locked room for bicycles are included and very appreciated. The (Swiss) breakfast is very well served and has everything, with many breads, fruits, cheeses, cold cuts, etc... The comfort double room is very spacious and clean, with a coffee machine. A special note for the indirect lighting which is very well done. Very easy to get to the thermal baths, bag, bathrobe, slippers, and bath towels provided. On the other hand, a small downside for the prices charged at the restaurant: even if it is well served, the single plate taken from the evening menu at over 42 CHF for a stew with mashed potatoes and broccoli or the Zurich-style sliced veal with rösti at 45 CHF for a few pieces of meat and a lot of mushrooms (without vegetables) is largely exaggerated, long live Switzerland...

We had booked a health trip to Bad Zurzach. They made an effort, the food was good, we were able to eat outside, but the hotel had no air conditioning in the rooms. At over 35°C, that was absolutely unacceptable. We were provided with fans, but it was much too hot. At night, one could hardly sleep because of the heat. On the website, the hotel had advertised a spa/wellness area. However, this had been closed for a long time; one could take advantage of a one-time (!) admission to the health thermal bath across the street for a value of approximately 35 CHF. Like everything here, both the hotel and the thermal bath across the street had a "showing its age" charm. We did not book any further admissions. Too expensive. The hotel lacked its own pool; the lake in the interior area was nice, but unfortunately not equipped as a swimming lake. There were also no outdoor areas with lounge chairs, etc. All in all, unfortunately, an unsatisfactory performance. We will not come back. We wanted to give our feedback to the management at the end, but unfortunately, they did not have time for us. This was also rather a pity.

Almost everyone were elder people, i would not suggest to go there as i dressed normal and the service staff commented that i should cover myself as i am getting lots of attention. I find it awful, as i dressed normal that wasnt revealing at all. Even at this century and when in abroad when people mindset is still stuck in 80s thats sad. She wasnt that nice at all
