Rex Swiss Quality Hotel

Be warned: there is no air-conditioning, which is a huge downside during the summer. If you have a room on the street, you won't be able to keep the windows open at night (too much noise). Sound-proofing is good, but still. If you want a quiet room, you need to double-check that it's not on the street side—the hotel doesn't always take these requests into account.

We spent 4 nights at the Sorrell Rex Hotel Zurich and had an absolutely wonderful stay. The location is ideal — right next to a tram stop, with just a 5‑minute ride straight into the city centre. As vegans, we were looked after brilliantly; they even prepared special vegan croissants just for us! There was also free fresh fruit and juice available in reception throughout our stay. Rooms are a good, average size, but the beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows lovely. We also appreciated the great in‑room coffee machine and a tall, effective fan. Every member of staff was friendly, polite and helpful. I was genuinely sad to leave. This is a fantastic hotel — we would happily stay here again and highly recommend it!

Very nice hotel in a very convenient location, close to the center, yet quiet and easily reachable by tram. Very kind staff and excellent breakfast. The only note is that it is a bit expensive, but it is Zurich, so prices are already high by nature.
