Hotel Appenzell

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Appenzell! We stayed in a double room with two twin beds (Room 301), and it was perfect. One feature we especially appreciated was that each of us had our own little “nook” area, which made the room feel cozy while still giving us our own space. The view of the rolling hillside is spectacular! The bathroom was spacious, the shower had excellent water pressure, and everything was impeccably clean. Housekeeping clearly takes great pride in maintaining the hotel. Breakfast each morning was wonderful, with all the traditional European breakfast favorites, plus made-to-order eggs if you’d like them. It was the perfect way to start each day. The COOP, Lidl and Migros grocery stores are not far away for everyday essentials and snacks. Hotel Appenzell is a smaller hotel, and that personal touch really shows. The staff takes exceptional care of the property, and it feels welcoming from the moment you arrive. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Appenzell. You won’t be disappointed!

Small, charming, family-run hotel on the town square in Appenzell. Our room was clean, cozy and uniquely decorated with a stunning view. The staff at the hotel and restaurant was very friendly and attentive. We had dinner twice in the restaurant and the food was outstanding. We will be back!
