I visited the Coop convention center for 2 days to attend a training. It was a nice stay, the food was very good and the rooms very pleasant and kept simple. I felt very comfortable. I can only recommend it.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and must say that my stay was good. Among the positive things: Nice, quiet and very clean room. The grounds of the hotel are very nice and invite you to linger with the large garden. The staff was always friendly. On the negative things: The Wi-Fi is unfortunately disastrous, especially considering that this is (also) a conference center. Unfortunately, a LAN cable doesn't do me much good with an IPad... There is a fridge missing in the room. I haven't had a hotel in Basel and the surrounding area in the category where it didn't have a refrigerator in the room. Although there were 4 large refrigerators for the general public in the lounge, however, I went in there every day eager to see if my things were still there (but were they :-)). However, this is not appropriate for a hotel (no hostel or similar) in my view. Should the two points be resolved in the near future, I will gladly come back, as I spend the night every two weeks in Basel and the surrounding area.

Super friendly staff. My wish to attach a night privately before my business stay was quickly and easily met. For an afternoon coffee outside on the terrace, extra table and chairs were freshly wiped (I was the only guest), a chair cushion was brought and the sun awning extended. The room itself was spacious and well equipped, at breakfast there was a nice selection. 14er Tram towards Basel just a short walk away.
