Hotel Dufour

Room service came with pump and cleared the drain. - Overall, except for friendliness of the staff, a spent, dingy hotel, have left everything in my suitcase as I found the cupboards disgusting - never again!!!

We booked a room several months ago and received a written booking confirmation. Now we were informed by phone by the hotel that it is supposedly fully booked since last year and therefore no room is available for us. The hotel only offered that we change our travel dates or cancel the booking. Cancellation directly by the hotel is not possible, we have to make this ourselves through our provider. For us, this approach is incomprehensible. A confirmed booking should be binding. It is particularly problematic that a large event takes place during our stay and therefore almost all hotels in the area are fully booked. Since we did not want to risk being on site without accommodation despite confirmed booking, we tried after an intensive search ourselves for an alternative accommodation. We would have expected more reliability and a professional solution here. We feel very badly treated and therefore cannot recommend the Hotel Dufour in any way.
