STAY ELSEWHERE. I have to agree with previous reviews. This hotel could be fabulous but some of the restaurant staff and owner are incredibly rude. The hotel has stunning views, our room was large and of an acceptable standard, not wow. The breakfast is fine. I wouldn’t say amazing. I am cabin crew and stay in hotels regularly. This hotels breakfast is nothing to write home about. But it was fine. Most of the young girls that work in the hotel/restaurant are absolutely lovely. However, when we are at the restaurant one night it was a disaster. Unnecessarily. We sat outside for drinks and asked for the fondue for dinner. The waiter said we had to eat this in a special area inside ‘as it was smelly’.! We didn’t mind either way so said we would come in as the sun was going down. We couldn’t find him when we came in so we explained to one of the girls what had happened and she escorted us to a table. A further waiter asked for our order and we explained we’d already ordered. He didn’t know what we were talking about and rolled his eyes and said we couldn’t eat fondue there. It was all very odd and embarrassing. We explained we’d been sent there and he said it wasn’t his fault. 🤣🤣 We were then moved again and then another staff member came to explain why we’d got it wrong! When we queried him he explained he was the owner. It was a farce. Unnecessary, poor, embarrassing. And the fondue of cheese, bread & potatoes cost £70 🤣🤣 Such a shame. We’d had such a lovely trip and commented on how much we’d loved it. But not this hotel. Stay elsewhere.

In short: Great service, friendly staff, excellent location, wonderful view, excellent dining The hotel was my choice on the business trip. The rooms are well organized, modern bathroom, wonderful and expandable balcony, great amenities and excellent service. The reception gives a first impression of the excellent service. Always friendly staff, great amenities, excellence in every detail. Even if something does not go as expected, the issue is immediately and fabulously corrected. The staff speaks various languages, so that every guest feels comfortable. The service is at the highest level, the breakfast is lavish and delicious. The dinner is fabulous. The hotel is aware of its tradition since 1900 and it was more than just a stay. I would love to come back anytime. By the way, you can start wonderful walks and also hikes from the hotel.
