Hotel Derby Interlaken

Untrustworthy place! It was a horrible stay.. It was very weird to check-in. It kept asking us to pay even though we had already paid online. They gave us a tiny single room and a double room, even though we have booked two double rooms. And they charged us the same for a horrible tiny single room with one breakfast, as a double room for two with two breakfasts, only because they had no more double rooms available. It was booking fault maybe, but it made our stay very unpleasant. We hated the sink in the room, it felt like a prison cell. The hotel had no soul, no charm, everything felt so bland, cold, soulless. And the price was expensive for a hotel like that. Honestly w would not recommend it, and we would not stay here in the future, we would book a regular hotel with warm client service , and human contact. They even lied on their very unprofessional reply on booking stating that i still don't understand that booking a single room does not entitle me to have a free upgrade to a double room, which was never the case, i booked and paid the exact same amount for two exact double rooms, they did not have any availble so they just changed it. we never needed any free service or upgrade from you, but you sure needed to scam your clients. How little and disgusting of you!

Simple but comfortable hotel and perfectly located close to the city center. Very good value for money. The shower room was small but enough for one night. Breakfast included in the price. Self check-in convenient.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in Interlaken! The location couldn’t be better, it’s just a short walk from Interlaken West train station and situated in a truly gorgeous, peaceful area. Despite being so central, it’s very quiet and relaxing. The hotel offers parking, which is very convenient, and we really appreciated the lovely garden area where guests can even heat up their own food — such a thoughtful facility! Breakfast was good value for money. While a wider choice of sausages or bacon would have made it even better, it was still satisfying and worth the price. A special mention to Jan, who is incredibly welcoming and helpful. His hospitality really made our stay special. After we checked out, we returned to collect our luggage and he spotted us in town he even offered us two drinks, which was such a kind and generous gesture! The location is perfect for exploring Interlaken, with plenty of restaurants, shopping options, souvenir stores, paragliding activities, and even beginner ski opportunities nearby. It’s ideal whether you’re planning activities in advance or making last-minute adventure plans. We also stayed at the Radisson in Zurich during our trip, but we honestly preferred this hotel for its warmth, location, and overall experience. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again!
