A wonderful, olde world, family feel Hotel, where you are looked after by friendly, polite and caring staff. The food is absolutely delicious in both the restaurant and the pizzeria. The rooms are lovely and clean and kept tidy by the housekeepers. The views from the balcony over looking Lake Brienz are stunning and you can sit and watch for hours. On the lake side there are deck chairs to borrow and we regularly sat in the shade of the trees just watching the paddle boarding, swimmers, kayaking etc and occasionally treated ourselves to an ice cream or milkshake from the amazing little caravan-Sweet Ride. The location is excellent, regular buses to other locations and into the main bus and train stations. The outdoor swimming pool/lido is a 5 minute walk away and is wonderful. You can also swim in the lake which is great. It’s our second visit and we love it. It’s definitely value for money, it’s peaceful and beautiful and there’s just something magical about it for me. I feel a great sense of peace there. We hope to return.

I have been visiting Seiler au Lac for over 25 years. Pleased to report that the highest standards of service in all areas are still being maintained by a kindly, friendly and caring team of staff. The view from the rooms, especially those looking down Lake Brienz, is in my experience unsurpassed. There is easy access to all local amenities, often free or with discounts, via the guest card which is built into the price. It is a superb base for walks locally or at high level and there is easy access to safe swimming in in the local lido and in the lake.

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Seiler au Lac on the shore of Lake Brienz. We have been coming to this hotel regularly for 8 years. The Seiler au Lac is located in a quiet and relaxing area. Our last stay in the very comfortable room 212 with a magnificent view of the lake was excellent. The 2 restaurants (pizzeria la Bohème and la Gare) offer quality dishes with very good service and reasonable prices. The manager, Mr. Zingg, and his daughter Yasmin are always attentive to guests and very professional. All the other hotel staff members are pleasant and attentive to guests' requests.
