Alpbach

We stayed here for one night, arriving late and leaving early. As part of a walking tour package, we had dinner included on the first night. Arriving after dinner service had ended, the hotel kindly accommodated us and provided a meal from a set menu. I requested a vegetarian meal, would have been happy with a simple salad but they prepared something for me. The room was quite small and was very warm due to outdoor temperatures, but was comfortable. We left before breakfast to catch the train so can’t comment on the offer there.

As a family, we look for very specific qualities when choosing a hotel: beautiful scenery, comfort, delicious food, impeccable cleanliness, and all the necessary services. Hotel Alpbach exceeded every one of our expectations and is, without question, one of the very best hotels in Meiringen — if not the best. From the moment we arrived for our week-long stay, we were warmly welcomed by Nadine, whose genuine kindness and professionalism immediately made us feel at home. Throughout our stay, she was consistently attentive, gracious, and wonderfully hospitable. Her sincere and heartfelt manner is something truly rare in the hospitality industry. We travel frequently and have stayed in many 5- and 6-star hotels around the world. As discerning guests who are not easily impressed, we can honestly say that we could not find a single fault during our stay. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional — comparable to renowned establishments such as The Savoy and the Beverly Hilton, where we previously stayed in the same suite famously associated with Whitney Houston. In every respect, our experience was outstanding. The hotel is run by a truly lovely couple whose dedication and warmth make all the difference. Nadine’s genuine welcome and personal attention made our stay especially memorable. Please know how sincerely pleased and grateful we are for such a wonderful experience. Very nice place to stay in Meiringen. Welcoming more than friendly, comfortable and quiet room. Private parking for residents and quality wifi. We stayed at this hotel with half board. Breakfast and dinner neat. The hotel arranges a dinner reservation in another location on the evening of the restaurant closing. Meiringen is well located to discover the region (Lucerne etc.) J'y retournerai volontiers!!!
