A great smaller hotel in between the two adjacent towns of Crans and Montana. The first thing I want to praise them for is the best English tea and decaff coffee of any hotel we stayed at in our Swiss trip. Great when our breakfast drinks of choice are a) available and b) good! Our room was nice and big with two living areas - bedroom and living room, plus a super balcony looking straight out on the Alps. Parking was easy, and it’s a 5-10 minute walk in one direction to Crans and the other way to Montana. Both these had good restaurants - we preferred the ones in Montana and the walk past the lake is nice. The room includes a fridge and coffee machine. No mini bar or kettle. Shower & bath room separate from the loo. Staff were so friendly and helpful. We visited to play golf, but would say this is a great place for skiers, too.

The hotel is very good, but there is no flexibility!! We needed to change our stay (our appointment was canceled the day after our reservation), we called to reschedule our reservation for the next day, but nothing was possible!!! We would lose 50% of the price!!! We have been coming to this hotel for many years, three times a year!!! Moreover, parking is now paid!!! One should not exaggerate!!! So we will not go anymore!!!

Art Du Vivre is the best quality price offer you can get in Crans Montana. It is a Boutique 4 star hotel in The center of Montana, run by the Bonvin family, with excelent services and friendly stuff. The hotel has been recently Renovated, like Last summer and it disposes now of extra balconies with stunning views, a Restaurant that serves delicious japanese specialities(i am really found of Kaizen, and happy each time I see Kaizen s name written in a Hotel s Reception or a Restaurant) at decent prices, especially the Day menu, if you know what to order, of course, and a hot sauna outside the Hotel, with swimming pool and steam baths, and quiet garden with beautiful surroundings (very Instagramable, if you ask me). Before it was Michael too who worked at Art du vivre , but now he is not there anymore. Michael was the Best Physical Therapist in all Valais, if you ask me. His two Friends still wait for him at 12 am precisely, as they did each day for years and years when Michael was working in the hotel s spa. Now, back to our hotel:The Reception is very friendly especially when the Owner is around. Smile smile smile. He always knows how to make you feel like home, still he is a perfectionist, and everything is double check ed by Him, so that anyone can have a quiet and relaxing vacation, or stay, in case they only use the Spa. After a fast check in, the room I was given was 207,a beautiful light room with nice furniture, extra space, big bathroom and really nice view, one of the nicest in Montana, after the Kandahar Residence view, which i find amazing. Here all the Windows are facing South, so the view is incredibile too. The room had a smell of luxury and new, as the walls have been recently painted, and it was sparkling clean, i ve never seen so much attention to the leingeries, were they new..... No idea. The decoration is somehow minimalist, maybe a personal touch would have made a big difference, maybe since this is a '' Boutique Hotel'' It s missing that Chalet feeling, mountain style, but for a 4 star hotel it s fair. The room is spacious, in each bathroom they have a big Window, with beautiful natural light, the Coffee machine is a' 'must' ', I didn t know how to use it though, complementary Tea on The - 1 floor, with the 2 nd Elevator, and the Swimming pool, well the Swimming pool was /is the first main reason I ve booked this Hotel twice during the last two weeks, as I m walking up really early and i need to swim, so I ve used their Spa at a very early hour, like..... very early. Smile smile smile The Sauna in the Spa it s opened only after 2 pm, and Kids under 18 are not allowed inside, which makes this place one of my favorites in All Valais, as I need my hours of silence and relax. The second reason is The Breakfast, one of the Best choices in Crans, and, if you wish to have breakfast and you don t book a room, the price is 25-30 sfr, If i remember correctly. They have good quality products, warm bread, croissants, pain au chocolat and really strong coffee, they even serve Champagne at Breakfast. Also the service in the Breakfast room is very very friendly, i really appreciated the person who works there since a year or so. I think before this Monsieur used to work at Molino, but i m not sure. The omlette avec fromage is a '' must", and the Orange juice is natural. 10 our of 10 And the last reason is the raport Quality Price:each time I ve payed less than 235 sfr for a person (i travel alone), Parking is extra 20 sfr, and the Spa Abo is 500 SFR for 4 months, which i personally find fair.Daily entry is 30 or 35 sfr, i don t remember. Also the gym can be used, and it s opened from. 10 to 10. Music in The Lobby and restaurant is nice too, i got to listen to '' Prince Purple rain'',and some good music i wonder who owns the Playlist. Now, there are two things I did not like about this hotel :first, the Photos of the hotel are.... not really professional, I wonder why they didn t choose a good photograph like Y. Garneau, or another good photograph to make the Photos, since in Renovations and spa some good millions sfr were invested during the last 10 years. No idea. Also, trip advisor s members put old Photos, which show a different story of this hotel. Not the Best version if it. People nowadays normally look only at the Photos they don t read long borring comments written at 4 am, like this one. And yes:The buttons of the remote control were switched:The sound buttons are on The right, while the channels buttons are on The left side of the Remote control, in my home they are backwards. Smile smile smile Ps:room 104 is nice too
