Ibis Geneve Petit Lancy Hotel

I have known the hotel for a long time and I consider it a place where the price-quality ratio is fair. However, during my last stay in August 2026, I had the unpleasant experience of returning in the evening and not finding the room made up; after reporting the matter the next morning, I received a "sorry" as the only response... if I pay for the room, I want it made up every day, and if you make a mistake, you should refund me part of the price paid... or at least offer me a coffee, not the arrogance and unavailability with which the person at the reception answered me... really bad

✅ The Good Smooth check-in: Staff were friendly and efficient. The garage was spaciously easy to access—a plus for drivers. Room comfort: Larger than expected for an Ibis, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Well-equipped bathroom (shower, toilet, sink) and thoughtful extras: shampoo, shower gel, towels, hairdryer, Nespresso machine + tea. Responsive service: When I reported leftover hair from a previous guest (on the bathroom walls/ceiling), the team acted immediately—sending a cleaner within minutes. The next day, the front desk followed up sincerely. Location: Excellent public transport—just 15 minutes to Cornavin Station. Shops and restaurants nearby. ❌ The Not-So-Good Hygiene inconsistency: The bathroom oversight (visible hair) was off-putting. The cleaner fixed the reported issue but didn’t re-clean the entire bathroom—half-measures don’t cut it. Temperature: The room was a bit cold for my taste (I packed short pajamas and couldn’t make it to a store for warmer ones). Breakfast: Disappointing. Processed meats, subpar croissants, boxed OJ, and mediocre coffee. The yoghurts were cheap, the cereal unappealing, and the Bircher müsli literally inedible. Small nitpicks: Paper cups were just tossed on the counter (no tray/napkin). 💡 Who’s It For? For: Budget-conscious travelers who prioritize location, transport, and service. Not for: Cleanliness perfectionists or foodies. Pro tip: Inspect your bathroom upon arrival. If you see an issue, tell the front desk—they’ll address it quickly. Final take: A practical, no-frills stay with great staff and location, but the hygiene miss and breakfast flop keep it from being great. Would stay again, but I’d check the bathroom first—and bring a sweater.

This Geneva trip is one of my best holidays ever. You receive the Geneva e-travel card 24 hours before your flight. Free travel around the city. Ibis Geneve Petit Lancy is very accessible by tram 14 or by bus (stop at Les esserts).Bus 23 stop to and from the airport is just outside the hotel. In 2 minutes you're inside the hotel. Reception team was very friendly and helpful. Special mention to Solange who was so welcoming on our arrival. We did get the requested kettle (via email) ready. Room was very clean with towels changed daily. Only thing missing are more hangers (only 2 were in the room) and hand towels (not provided). Breakfast was ample 16 Swiss Francs. You can even poach an egg yourself for breakfast. The best tasting scrambled egg too :-) . Would definitely recommend Ibis Geneve Petit Lancy for anyone visiting Geneva. It's 15mins by tram from the main bus/train station (Gare Cornavin).
