ABC

We have travelled from the UK for a 60th birthday trip on the Bernina Express. We were staying over night after travelling from Zurich. ABC is perfectly placed, a 10 minute easy walk from the train station. The room was superb with a fantastic shower and very comfortable bed. There was a great view of the mountains from the balcony. The room includes a very good coffee machine, wi-fi access and we thought the price was very reasonable. We highly recommend and would love to go back for longer next time. The buffet breakfast was very good with a range catering for everybody. The hotel staff were excellent and went out of their way to help us a looked after our luggage after we checked out as we had time to kill and wanted to explore the town before we caught the Bernina Express.

The hotel is located at a great location near the Chur train station, operating both regional and intercity trains as well as the Bernini Express. Additionally, the old town is just a few minutes on feet from the hotel, and many shops and restaurants are present nearby. The hotel is cozy and rooms are kept in a comfy scheme. Both the check-in and check-out experiences were smooth and staff were supportive. Rooms are kept tidy and clean, furniture is great, neat and properly maintained. The bathroom is well maintained, with two sinks, a bathtub and a shower. All towels were delivered in proper condition. Rooms are also quiet, however some noises can be heard during the day. A minor flaw of the hotel is the lifting scheme, as it is pretty cold and warm. The Air Conditioning system is hard to use and control. Breakfast is offered with a buffet with a great selection of food and beverage options, however their quality could be improved. The hotel operates a SPA and a gym which I did not however get to check.

Ski weekend in Lenzerheide/Arosa with friends. The hotel was chosen due to its proximity to the main train station in Chur. We arrived by train and car. The hotel is easily accessible by car from the highway. About 300 meters from the main train station in Chur. The advantage is that from here, several ski areas can be reached by the excellent Swiss public transport within 30 to 60 minutes. We decided on Lenzerheide and Arosa for the transfer via train. The advantage is that if one already has a valid day ticket for the ski area, public transport can be used without additional costs. There is no parking problem on site, and one does not have to pay extra for it. There are parking spaces available on the hotel grounds. The hotel is reasonably priced for the quality offered. Absolutely great for a city trip or as a starting point. The only downside is that the fitness area and sauna are not satisfactory. Located in the basement without windows. Very small. The cleanliness of the hotel is excellent. The staff in the breakfast room are quick and friendly. Despite being fully booked, it was still possible to have a conversation with them. Great team. The location is also optimal for reaching the old town with its sights or the variety of dining options. 5-8 minutes of leisurely walking. The rooms are pleasantly spacious and modernly equipped. The only complaint is that the room has no air conditioning and is located on the street side. There were many night owls out and about on the weekend.
