Hotel Silvapina

This hotel has kept its original, rural character. It is managed by Valentin Gruober in the third generation. We had two single rooms with half board. The price of CHF 135.00 included a 4-course menu; this is a very good price-performance ratio. A sauna is also available. Likewise a ski room. In the evening there was only one menu, but it was prepared with great dedication using local products. The hotel is only 60 meters away from the train station, from which you can travel to the Gotschna cable car or to Davos. Or in approx. 5 min. to the Madrisa cable car. I will certainly be happy to come back there sometime.

The operators of the hotel, which consists of two buildings, are very friendly. The hotel is very conveniently connected to bus and train. You can practically walk directly from the platform to the hotel. But that is exactly why it is incredibly loud there. Even with the window closed, the house vibrates when a train passes by. Unfortunately, we could not sleep here at all without earplugs. The room was not well cleaned either, with cobwebs next to the bed. The breakfast is limited and really the same every day. The dinner menu has better cafeteria quality.

Cozy, lovingly maintained hotel with friendly, capable owner and staff who surprised us with especially fine meals. Typical Graubünden rooms and a pleasant family atmosphere. We were also very pleased with the beautiful guest room with a large balcony; everything was like new, functionally furnished, and clean. Most modern shower, excellent! Absolutely recommended.
